Babies + Children
When working with babies and children, we prefer to keep things simple. Solid colors work the best. Babies look great in one-piece outfits or nothing at all. We like to recommend that groups of siblings be dressed in similar tones to keep the attention on their expressions. There is always time for at least one outfit change so bringing different options will help to maximize your session. We prefer to use few to no props while working with children. I am happy to incorporate a special blanket, toy, book or stuffed animal to help them feel more comfortable. I also strongly encourage parents to be involved. I want to show how special your relationship is to your child.
Families
Families offer the chance to bring many personalities together in one image. Every one should be dressed similarly, but not the same. Wear the clothing that you feel most comfortable in and helps to show your individuality. If you have questions about what to bring, I am always happy to help.
Maternity
Maternity sessions offer the chance to capture the last moments of the miracle of your pregnancy. This intimate session will be tailored to your personal style. Whether in-home or in-studio, we will work with you to create images that reflect your joy, excitement, tenderness and love. Maternity sessions usually look best when done during your third trimester. Please avoid elastic waistbands the day of the shoot as they leave marks on your skin. Also avoid lotions or oils the day of the shoot, as they tend to reflect light.
